Outdoor Exhibition Pavilion Design & Construction Using PVC Tensile Membrane Structures

I designed and executed an outdoor exhibition pavilion featuring a tensile membrane roofing system manufactured from high-strength PVC-coated polyester fabric. The project was developed as a lightweight, visually dynamic, and weather-resistant structure, specifically engineered for exhibition and event environments.

The architectural concept combined modern tensile membrane technology with a rotating hydraulic steel substructure, allowing the pavilion to achieve both functional flexibility and a distinctive visual identity. The integration of hydraulic movement enabled controlled rotation and adaptive positioning of key architectural elements, creating an engaging visitor experience while enhancing the pavilion’s spatial performance.

From the initial concept development and structural detailing to fabrication and on-site installation, I managed the complete project execution process. The membrane was digitally patterned, fabricated, and tensioned to achieve the required form stability, ensuring optimal load distribution and long-term performance.
